Lighting represents 20 percent of your home’s electricity bill. We offer instant discounts when you purchase select ENERGY STAR®-certified LEDs. These high-efficiency lighting products use about 70-90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and last 10 to 25 times longer.* Use the light bulb search tool to find discounts on select products at participating retailers in your neighborhood.
The HVAC Efficiency Program provides rebates of up to $1,500 for the installation of energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment, such as central air conditioners, air-to-air heat pumps, ductless mini-split heat pumps and geothermal heat pumps. Qualifying central air conditioners are over 15% more efficient than conventional models, and may reduce your cooling costs by as much as 30 percent.*
The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program offers whole-house solutions designed to increase your home’s comfort and energy efficiency. Investing in energy-efficient improvements can help save you energy and money throughout the year. For a fee of $100, an auditor will conduct a thorough assessment of your home, identify sources of wasted energy and recommend energy-saving improvements. You will also receive a detailed report outlining a variety of ways you could improve the energy efficiency of your home. The program offers up to $7,500* or up to 75 percent of the cost of home improvement upgrades. Home improvements include:
