HVAC rebate programs are available to residential customers of Potomac Edison on qualified equipment and services. Customers have until 10/31/19 to purchase qualifying HVAC equipment and until 11/30/19 to have that equipment installed. The deadline for application submission is 1/31/20.

Potomac Edison Terms and Conditions
Equipment and services must be installed from January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018.
Rebate application must be submitted within 90 days of install and postmarked or submitted online by January 7, 2019.
Please submit one rebate application form per unit.
Customer is encouraged to retain a participating contractor to perform the installation. Installations are subject to an on-site quality assurance visit prior to approval.
Applicant must be a Maryland residential customer of Potomac Edison.
It is the responsibility of the customer to assure that all requirements for the rebate are met. Failure to provide any of the required information will prevent processing of your application.
Rebate payments are based on the installation date. Customers must abide by the rules and rebate levels in effect on the date of install.
Purchase must be of a high-efficiency geothermal unit as defined in the table called Geothermal Energy Efficiency Systems found on page 2.
Potomac Edison and/or its designees including program administrators and evaluation contractors reserve the right to review installations to verify completion and measure energy savings to ensure compliance with all program requirements. Such reviews will be made at a time convenient to the applicant. Misrepresentation of installation location or measure eligibility may result in forfeiture of the rebate.
Program procedures, requirements and rebate levels are subject to change or cancellation without notice and are subject to available program funds.
Payment will be issued to the account holder and mailing address on record with the utility.
Please allow up to 90 days from the date all required information is received to process your rebate(s).
Installations must be completed in accordance with all laws, codes and other requirements applicable under federal, state and local authority.
You are urged to seek appropriate consultation concerning any tax liabilities that could be associated with the receipt of the rebate.
Potomac Edison, its parents, subsidiaries, employees, affiliates and agents assume no responsibility for the performance of the equipment or equipment warranty, the quality of the work, labor and/or materials supplied, and/or the acts or omissions of the participating contractor.
The customer hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Potomac Edison, its parents, subsidiaries, employees, affiliates and agents from any and all liability associated with this project.
I understand that I may be contacted by Potomac Edison via survey or questionnaire to provide feedback on my satisfaction with the program.
By participating in this program, customer agrees to allow Potomac Edison to take ownership of the energy efficiency resource credits associated with this program. Potomac Edison may at its sole discretion then aggregate your credits with other similarly situated customers and bid the credits into the PJM market. Any proceeds will be used to offset the costs charged to Potomac Edison’s customers for compliance with state mandated energy efficiency and/or peak demand requirements.
By submitting this Potomac Edison rebate application, you acknowledge and agree to the rebate requirements found on this rebate form.
A customer may apply for a rebate for HVAC equipment replacement in either the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program, or the HVAC rebate program, but will not be eligible for both.
